Kasich Announces Appointment to Lorain County Court of Common Pleas, General Division August 25, 2015 COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Michele Silva Arredondo of Lorain (Lorain Co.) to serve as a judge on the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas, General Division. Arredondo will assume office on September 16, 2015 and must run in November 2016 to retain the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends December 31, 2018. Arredondo is replacing Judge James M. Burge, who resigned. Arredondo received her bachelor of arts degree from Miami University and her juris doctorate from Cleveland- Marshall College of Law. Her experience includes service as an acting magistrate on the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations and Juvenile Division, service as an assistant attorney for the Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office, and work as an independent practitioner. She has served as board member to the Lorain County Community College Foundation and the Girl Scouts of Erie Shores.
