Kasich Announces Appointment to Ashtabula Municipal Court January 27, 2015 COLUMBUS - Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Laura M. DiGiacomo of Ashtabula (Ashtabula Co.) to serve as a judge on the Ashtabula Municipal Court. DiGiacomo will assume office on February 27, 2015, and must run in November 2015 to retain the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends December 31, 2019. DiGiacomo is replacing Judge Albert Camplese, who has been elected to the Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas, Probate and Juvenile Divisions. DiGiacomo received a bachelor of arts in criminal justice from Kent State University and her juris doctor from the University of Akron School of Law. Previous experience includes serving as a special counsel to the Ashtabula County Children Services Board, establish ing her own private law office and serving as an assistant prosecutor for the Ashtabula County Prosecutor's Office. She is currently a member of the Ashtabula County Bar Association and has previously been a member of the Habitat Board, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Zonta Club of Ashtabula Area.
