Kasich Orders Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich ordered flags be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds across the state effective immediately in honor of former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Flags will remain at half-staff until his interment.

“In honor of the life and service of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, and in accordance with orders from the President of the United States of America, I hereby proclaim, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Ohio by the Ohio Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio effective immediately from sunrise to sunset until his interment.”
