Thirteen Projects Expected to Invest $163.6 Million, Impacting 2,871 Jobs

COLUMBUS - Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 13 projects set to create 1,401 jobs and retain 1,470 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in $58.2 million in new payroll, and spur approximately $163.6 million in investment across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

CENTRAL

Briskheat Corporation, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to create 103 full-time positions, generating $4.9 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $9.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Briskheat manufactures heating products used in a variety of industries including biotech, aviation and power generation. The TCA approved a 50 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Coyote Logistics, LLC, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $2 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $2.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Coyote Logistics is a transportation and logistics service provider. The TCA approved a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Craft Wholesalers, Inc., City of Groveport (Franklin Co.) expects to create 10 full-time positions, generating $660,000 in additional annual payroll and retaining $2.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's new project location in the City of Groveport (Franklin Co.). Craft Wholesalers is a wholesale gift and craft business, supplying more than 27,000 stores nationally and in Canada. The TCA approved a 35 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Superior Production, LLC, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to create 35 full-time positions, generating $1.6 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $8.8 million in existing payroll as result of the company's expansion project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Superior Production produces a wide range of products for light trucks, lawn, garden and agricultural applications. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SOUTHWEST

Startek USA, Inc., City of Hamilton (Butler Co.) expects to create 682 full-time positions, generating $15.7 million in annual payroll as a result of the company's new project location in the City of Hamilton (Butler Co.). Startek provides process management outsourcing, offering expertise in a variety of services such as customer care, technical support, e-commerce, fulfillment and management. The TCA approved a 65 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Aprecia Pharmaceuticals Company, City of Blue Ash (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 150 full-time positions, generating $13.5 million in annual payroll as a result of the company's new project location in the City of Blue Ash (Hamilton Co.). Aprecia is a pharmaceutical company. The TCA approved a 55 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Curiosity, LLC, City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 28 full-time positions, generating $1.5 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $2.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.). Curiosity is an advertising firm. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, Inc., City of Mason (Warren Co.) expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $4.2 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $19.7 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Mason (Warren Co.). Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America manufactures and supplies powertrain, body and chassis products to the automobile industry. The TCA approved a 55 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SSB Manufacturing Company, City of Monroe (Warren Co.) expects to create 106 full-t ime positions, generating $5.8 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $8.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's new project location in the City of Monroe (Warren Co.). SSB Manufacturing Company is a mattress manufacturer. The TCA approved a 50 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

WESTERN

Autosoft, Inc., City of Dayton (Montgomery Co.) expects to create 25 full-time positions, generating $2 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Dayton (Montgomery Co.). Autosoft provides cloud-based software for car dealerships. The TCA approved a 45 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHWEST

GT Technologies, Inc., City of Toledo (Lucas Co.) expects to create 24 full-time positions, generating $1.6 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $5.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Toledo (Lucas Co.). GT Technologies designs and supplies valve train components for a full range of gas and diesel engines. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

GT Technologies, Inc., City of Defiance (Defia nce Co.) expects to create 19 full-time positions, generating $902,636 in additional annual payroll and retaining $8.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Defiance (Defiance Co.). GT Technologies design s and supplies valve train components for a full range of gas and diesel engines. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

LOCATION TBD

Total Quality Logistics, LLC (Location TBD) expects to create 70 full-time positions, generating $3.8 million in annual payroll as a result of the company's new project location at a to-be-determined location. Total Quality Logistics is a freight brokerage firm specializing in arranging the transportation of full truckload shipments. The TCA approved a 40 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
