Kasich Announces Appointments to Hamilton County Municipal Court, District 7

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Gwendolyn M. Bender of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) to serve as a judge on the Hamilton County Municipal Court, District 7. Bender will assume office on February 6, 2017 and must run in the November 2017 election to retain the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends January 4, 2020. Bender is replacing Judge Melissa Powers, who was elected to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division.

Bender received her bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College and her juris doctorate from University Cincinnati. Bender has served as a Chief Assistant Prosecutor for the Hamilton County Prosecutor since 2012. Bender has litigated cases in the criminal division, municipal division,  juvenile division, appellate court, and grand jury.

Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Jacqueline M. Ginocchio of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) to serve as a judge on the Hamilton County Municipal Court, District 7. Ginocchio will assume office on February 6, 2017 and must run in the November 2017 election to retain the seat for the full term commencing January 3, 2018. Ginocchio is replacing Judge Lisa Allen, who resigned.

Ginocchio received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and her juris doctorate from Ohio Northern University. Ginocchio has served as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Hamilton County Prosecutor since 2008. Ginocchio has litigated cases in the common please division, municipal division and juvenile division.
