Kasich Announces Appointment to Findlay Municipal Court April 21, 2017 COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Alan D. Hackenberg of Findlay (Hancock Co.) to serve as a judge on the Findlay Municipal Court. Hackenberg will assume the bench on April 28, 2017. He must run in November 2017 to retain the seat for the unexpired term ending December 31, 2021. Hackenberg is replacing Judge Jonathan P. Starn who has been appointed to the Hancock County Common Pleas Court. Hackenberg received his bachelor’s degree from University of Cincinnati and his law degree from Ohio Northern University. He currently serves as Assistant City Law Director for the City of Findlay and Village Solicitor for the Village of McComb. Hackenberg is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Findlay/Hancock County Bar Association, the Findlay Elks Lodge and a board member of Crime Stoppers of Findlay/Hancock County.
