New Projects Expected to Create More than $41 Million in Investments

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 4 projects set to create 475 new jobs and retain 1,405 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $24 million in new payroll, and spur more than $41 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

WEST

Airstream, Inc., Village of Jackson Center (Shelby Co.) expects to create 280 full-time positions, generating $14.8 million in new annual payroll and retaining $57.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the Village of Jackson Center (Shelby Co.). Airstream designs and manufactures travel trailers and touring coaches. The TCA approved a 1.874 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

CENTRAL 

Modular Assembly Innovations LLC, Allen Township (Union Co.) expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $1.4 million in new annual payroll and retaining $7.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Allen Township (Union Co.). Modular Assembly Innovations provides manufacturing and modular assembly services to the automotive industry. The TCA approved a 1.055 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., City of Hilliard (Franklin Co.) expects to create 109 full-time positions, generating $4.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $13.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Hilliard (Franklin Co.).  Sedgwick Claims Management Services provides claims, productivity, managed care, risk consulting and other services. The TCA approved a 1.31 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Veeva Systems Inc., City of Dublin (Franklin Co.) expects to create 46 full-time positions, generating $3.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $2.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Dublin (Franklin Co.). Veeva Systems provides cloud-based software for the life sciences industry. The TCA approved a 1.62 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
