Kasich Announces Appointments to State Boards and Commissions

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the following appointments:

Lori Barreras of Columbus (Franklin Co.) has been designated to serve as Chair of the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Barreras was appointed to the commission in 2013. She will succeed Leonard Hubert, who resigned.

James J. Mermis of Columbus (Franklin Co.) has been appointed to the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board for a term beginning March 14, 2018, and ending December 23, 2018.

John D. Igoe of Upper Arlington (Franklin Co.) has been appointed to the Public Benefits Advisory Board for a term beginning March 14, 2018, and ending June 30, 2019.

Fred G. DeBiasi of Franklin (Warren Co.) has been appointed to the Banking Commission for a term beginning March 14, 2018, and ending January 31, 2021.

Jennifer S. Wolfe, MSN, RN of Westerville (Franklin Co.) has been appointed to the State Cosmetology and Barber Board for a term beginning March 14, 2018, and ending October 31, 2022.

John Sharier of Coshocton (­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Coshocton Co.) has been appointed to the Historical Boilers Licensing Board for a term beginning March 14, 2018, and ending October 23, 2020.

Homer D. Rufener of Sardis (Monroe Co.) has been appointed to the Historical Boilers Licensing Board for a term beginning March 14, 2018, and ending October 23, 2021.

Richard L. Oeder of Morrow (Warren Co.) has been reappointed to the Historical Boilers Licensing Board for a term beginning March 14, 2018, and ending October 23, 2022.
