Kasich Orders Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of Victims in Santa Fe, Texas

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich ordered that all flags be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state in honor of the victims of the tragedy in Santa Fe, Texas, effective immediately until sunset, May 22, 2018.

Kasich’s order reads: “In accordance with the orders issued today by the President of the United States of America to honor the victims of the attack perpetrated on May 18, 2018 in Santa Fe, Texas, I hereby proclaim, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Ohio by the Ohio Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio, effective immediately until sunset, May 22, 2018.”
