New Projects Expected to Create More than $313 Million in Investments

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 10 projects set to create 2,279 new jobs and retain 924 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $100 million in new payroll, and spur more than $313 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

NORTHEAST

Aldi Inc., Hinckley Township (Medina Co.)expects to create 66 full-time positions, generating $2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $8.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Hinckley Township (Medina Co.). Aldi is a grocery retailer. The TCA approved a 1.014 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

HomeGoods, Inc., Village of Lordstown (Trumbull Co.)expects to create 1,000 full-time positions, generating $27 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the Village of Lordstown (Trumbull Co.). HomeGoods provides discount home fashions including giftware, home basics, accent furniture, lamps, rugs, and wall décor. The TCA approved a 1.404 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHWEST

Keystone Foods LLC, Bloom Township (Wood Co.)expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $9.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Bloom Township (Wood Co.). Keystone Foods is a food service company. The TCA approved a 1.153 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

CENTRAL

Air Waves LLC, Orange Township (Delaware Co.)expects to create 60 full-time positions, generating $1.7 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3.7 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Orange Township (Delaware Co.). Air Waves is an on-demand e-commerce apparel company. The TCA approved a 0.924 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Dollar Tree Distribution, Inc., Bennington Township (Morrow Co.)expects to create 400 full-time positions, generating $12.8 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Bennington Township (Morrow Co.). Dollar Tree Distribution provides distribution and warehouse services for Dollar Tree and Family Dollar retail stores. The TCA approved a 1.262 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Fast Switch, LTD., City of Dublin (Franklin Co.)expects to create 75 full-time positions, generating $6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $19.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Dublin (Franklin Co.). Fast Switch is an information technology staffing and recruiting firm. The TCA approved a 1.625 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

IBOD Company, Inc., City of Columbus (Franklin Co.)expects to create 463 full-time positions, generating $38.9 million in new annual payroll and retaining $9.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Mansfield (Richland Co.). IBOD Company is the parent of Root Insurance, an insurance technology company providing property and casualty insurance. The TCA approved a 2.38 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Import Products Co. Inc. (IPC), City of Grove City (Franklin Co.)expects to create 35 full-time positions, generating $1.3 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Grove City (Franklin Co.). IPC provides manufacturing and fulfillment of filtration technology. The TCA approved a 1.088 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

William R. Hague, Inc. (Hague Quality Water), Cities of Groveport and Obetz (Franklin Co.)expects to create 70 full-time positions, generating $1.9 million in new annual payroll and retaining $4.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the Cities of Groveport and Obetz (Franklin Co.). Hague Quality Water manufactures water softener products. The TCA approved a 0.923 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

TO BE DETERMINED

The Heitmeyer Group, LLC, (Location TBD)expects to create 60 full-time positions, generating $6.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $1.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in a to-be-determined location. The Heitmeyer Group is a staffing and consulting firm. The TCA approved a 1.699 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
