Kasich Orders Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of the Lives Lost in Orlando, Florida

COLUMBUS - Today Governor John R. Kasich ordered that flags be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio effective immediately until sunset, June 16, 2016 in response to orders issued today by the President of the United States in honor of the lives lost in Orlando, Florida.
His order reads: "In accordance with orders issued today by the President of the United States of America and as a mark of respect for the victims of the act of hatred and terror perpetrated in Orlando, Florida, I hereby proclaim, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Ohio by the Ohio Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio effective immediately until sunset, June 16, 2016."
