Statewide Investments To Create $35 Million In New Payroll

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 10 projects set to create 726 new jobs and retain 1,216 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $35 million in new payroll, and spur more than $66 million in investments across Ohio.

 

Projects approved by the TCA include:

CENTRAL

Denso International America, Inc., City of Dublin (Franklin Co.) expects to create 13 full-time positions, generating $1.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Dublin (Franklin Co.). Denso International supplies advanced technology, systems, and components to the automotive industry. The TCA approved a 1.924 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Sarnova HC, LLC, City of Dublin (Franklin Co.) expects to create 29 full-time positions, generating $1.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $13.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Dublin (Franklin Co.). Sarnova HC distributes medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and supplies for EMS workers. The TCA approved a 1.302 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project. 

Georgia TSS, Inc. (Total System Services, Inc.), City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to create 145 full-time positions, generating $5.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Georgia TSS provides businesses, financial institutions, governments, and consumers with payment tools for credit, debit, prepaid, mobile, chip, healthcare, and merchant acceptance. The TCA approved a 1.327 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

NORTHEAST

Carlisle Brake & Friction, Inc., City of Medina (Medina Co.) expects to create 70 full-time positions, generating $3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $11 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Medina (Medina Co.). Carlisle Brake & Friction provides high-performance and severe duty brake, clutch, and transmission applications to the mining, construction, military, agricultural, motorsports, industrial, and aerospace markets. The TCA approved a 1.508 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Inogen, Inc., City of Brooklyn (Cuyahoga Co.) expects to create 240 full-time positions, generating $12 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Brooklyn (Cuyahoga Co.). Inogen develops and manufactures portable oxygen concentrators. The TCA approved a 1.688 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

SOUTHWEST

Pretzel Baron LLC, City of Springdale (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 49 full-time positions, generating $1.2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $264,033 in existing payroll as a result of the company’s acquisition project in the City of Springdale (Hamilton Co.).  Pretzel Baron produces pretzel products. The TCA approved a 1.048 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Aero Fulfillment Services Corporation, West Chester Township (Butler Co.) and the City of Mason (Warren Co.) expects to create 65 full-time positions, generating $2.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $7.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in West Chester Township (Butler Co.) and the City of Mason (Warren Co.).  Aero Fulfillment Services provides business-to-business and business-to-consumer inventory and fulfillment processes. The TCA approved a 1.2 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project. 

NSC Global Managed Services LLC, Deerfield Township (Warren Co.) expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $2.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $12.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Deerfield Township (Warren Co.). NSC Global Managed Services provides IT services to companies to advance technology, recruit talent, manage infrastructure, and support operations. The TCA approved a 2.13 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project. 

 

WEST

Wayne Trail Technologies, Village of Fort Loramie (Shelby Co.) expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $3.8 million in new annual payroll and retaining $13 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the Village of Fort Loramie (Shelby Co.). Wayne Trail Technologies manufactures automated systems used in the advanced manufacturing, automotive, nuclear, green appliance, HVAC, and aerospace industries. The TCA approved a 1.419 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

LOCATION TBD

Insight Catastrophe Group, LLC (Location TBD) expects to create 15 full-time positions, generating $1.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $38,961 in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in a to-be-determined location. Insight Catastrophe provides risk management consulting and software solutions focused on property insurance. The TCA approved a 1.968 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
