Statewide Investments to Create $32 Million in New Payroll

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for seven projects set to create 641 new jobs and retain 846 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $32 million in new payroll, and spur more than $167 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

 

CENTRAL

InXite Health Systems, Inc., City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $4.9 million in new annual payroll and retaining $698,750 in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). InXite Health Systems provides technology, services, and expertise to help coordinate patient care for the healthcare industry. The TCA approved a 1.477 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Nucor Steel Marion, Inc., City of Marion (Marion Co.) expects to create 15 full-time positions, generating $1.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $22.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Marion (Marion Co.). Nucor Steel Marion produces specialty steel products for the highway, construction, and agricultural industries. The TCA approved a 1.844 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Ohio Pack, LLC, City of Heath (Licking Co.) expects to create 55 full-time positions, generating $3.8 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Heath (Licking Co.). Ohio Pack manufactures plastic film for the food and beverage industry. The TCA approved a 1.55 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

NORTHEAST

Camaco, LLC, City of Lorain (Lorain Co.) expects to create 200 full-time positions, generating $8 million in new annual payroll and retaining $18.7 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Lorain (Lorain Co.). Camaco supplies seat frame structures to automotive manufacturers and suppliers. The TCA approved a 1.417 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

WEST

Topre America Corporation, City of Springfield (Clark Co.) expects to create 85 full-time positions, generating $3.4 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Springfield (Clark Co.). Topre America supplies high performance components to the automotive, temperature-controlled logistics, air conditioning, and electronics industries. The TCA approved a 1.217 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

LOCATION TBD

Homeside Financial, LLC (Location TBD) expects to create 150 full-time positions, generating $9.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $6.7 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in a to-be-determined location. Homeside Financial is a private mortgage lender. The TCA approved a 1.976 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Keno Kozie Associates, LTD. (K2), (Location TBD) expects to create 36 full-time positions, generating $1 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in a to-be-determined location. Keno Kozie provides IT support and solutions for law firms. The TCA approved a 0.93 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
