Kasich Announces Appointment to Seventh District Court of Appeals

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Magistrate Kathleen J. Bartlett of North Jackson (Mahoning Co.) to serve as a judge on the Seventh District Court of Appeals. Bartlett will assume office on April 9, 2018. She must run in November 2018 to retain the seat for the full term commencing February 9, 2019.  Bartlett is replacing Judge Mary DeGenaro who has been appointed to the Ohio Supreme Court.

Bartlett received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University and her law degree from Cleveland State University. She is currently serving as magistrate for the Columbiana County Court of Common Pleas where she presides over domestic relations cases. Bartlett also serves as magistrate for the Village of Leetonia Mayor’s Court, presiding over cases charged under the Ohio Municipal Code and the Village of Leetonia Local Ordinances.
