Led by Lt. Governor Jon Husted, Ohio’s Common Sense Initiative (CSI) reviews business-impacting rules, helps businesses navigate regulatory obstacles, and leads initiatives to improve Ohio’s regulatory climate. CSI was formed to propel job and economic growth in Ohio.
Since it’s launch, CSI has reviewed nearly 15,000 state agency regulations, and has identified 60 percent of those regulations as potential obstacles to Ohio businesses. All of those identified regulations were either amended or rescinded.
The Ohio Revised Code provides authority to the Common Sense Initiative Office to review actions or proposed actions by a state board or commission that may be subject to state or federal antitrust law.
Referrals can be made by boards or commissions themselves or an individual or company. Learn more about CSI Referrals.
